Voices of the Damned - Part 8
Part Eight: An Unholy Congregation
Alice remained silent on the bed, staring down at his bent form with wide eyes filled with confusion, yet her countenance was still sweet. He could not look at her, because the terror of her answer was something he could not comprehend. Edward could not remember feeling such fear, he could only imagine the shame and outrage he would feel if she refused him… something akin to is previous humiliations. But Alice remained silent as she rubbed at her head and stared toward the trembling arm outstretched to her.
She had never considered in her life that someone would ever think of her as worth their time,

Part Seven: The Engagement
Time had slipped by and the bookings in the restaurant had long been passed on to the next eager couple. Though he might have been furious about the matter, Doctor Richthofen's concern fell solely upon his assistant's well being. He had settled her on the bed, checked her over for injuries and nearly pushed his head into the wall when the inspection had nearly let him fall for temptation. He knew, as much as he could probably blame it on her attackers, touching her was not permitted and it was a rule he was fighting to obey. He had to maintain his dominance and control throughout his working hours however, delving into the deep dungeons and talking to his creations about his concerns as they moaned in agony. Of course their cries pulled his attention more then the thought of the pretty little innocent beyond… but whenever he finished working it was Alic

Part Four: Cruelty and Kindness
Richtofen had barely begun to drift away into sleep before he realised that Alice was still within his bedroom. He grimaced at her gentle look of concern and wanted to smack his head against something or shoo her away. It was not right for anyone to see him in this state, he hated it – he hated any show of weakness. But some part of him was glad for letting her see it, letting her know that on occasion he could be quite vulnerable.
“You know you’d scare less people if you made an effort to look normal and not just hidden yourself behind a uniform and scowl!” As much as Alice had prefer

Part Three: Reflections in Blood
The incident did not only plague Eduard’s mind the next day. He trapped himself amongst the depths of death, decay and depravity that had become his only means for existence. Amongst it he seemed to grab at any strand of contentment and focus it gave him; willingly starving and isolating himself to decapitate this impure fascination. He tried hard to stifle the need to sleep and the torturous dreams of flesh, living and pure, bruising beneath his clenched talons!
It was all in vain! For three days he managed a departure from reason before his own hoarse throat, crying out for use and for water, ripped
